The Wars of the Roses…
Blooms both red and white,
Famed emblems of long-dead wars,
In the late 15th Century the Tudor House of Lancaster and the Plantagenet House of York fought long and hard over the throne of England, this 30-year dynastic battle being symbolised in history by the red rose of Lancaster and the white rose of York.
Some spring crocus in bloom from my latest visit to Scotland, cheering up the winter gloom with a beautiful splash of colour 🙂
During my recent absence from blogging, it seems that my first anniversary with WordPress has come and gone… but I’m really pleased to be back, and can’t help but wonder where my second year of blogging might take me… 🙂
Hmmm… I didn’t ever intend to disappear from the blogosphere so suddenly, and for such a long time… I don’t really know why I stopped blogging just like that – I just didn’t feel like reading or posting anything for a couple of days, then those couple of days became a week, then before I knew it a month had passed, and amazingly it’s now been two months since I last logged on to WordPress. But over the last few days I’ve been thinking about my blog again, and so here I am, back with a fresh eye and a hopeful heart, looking forward to catching up with everyone again! 🙂
