Cees Which Way Challenge: 2014 – 15

I’ve got a historical Which Way for this week – York city walls, the most complete medieval town walls remaining in the UK. The original Roman walls were built over by the Vikings, who created the earthwork bank when they invaded in the 9th Century, with the current stone-built walls on top of the earth ramparts being added during the 13th and 14th Centuries 🙂
